ISU Disciplinary Commission decision

Following consideration of an alleged Anti-Doping Rule violation the ISU Disciplinary Commission has taken the decision that Anzhelika Anatolyenva Gavrilova (KAZ) is declared responsible for an Anti-Doping violation, involving the prohibited substance clenbuterol, committed on June 25, 2005. A one year ineligibility, beginning December 27, 2005 is imposed on Ms. Gavrilova.
Ms. Gavrilova has indicated her intention to appeal against the decision of the ISU Disciplinary Commission to the ISU Appeals Commission. However, as per Article 21, paragraph 16 of the ISU Constitution, an appeal shall have no postponing effect on a sanction for violation of the Anti-Doping rules. It is therefore confirmed that the one year ineligibility period is effective as of December 27, 2005.
