The Torino olympics have been marked by the domination of Korea in short track speed skating. As for long track, three countries divide themselves 2/3 of the medals, the dutch being the best.

Dutch affair in long track speed skating
In long track, the Dutch realized a good performance winning three titles and a total of nine podiums. USA and Canada complete the long track's medal ranking podium.

Netherlands got good results in both female and male races. On the other hand, USA men were dominant but the ladies didn't get any medal. Canadian ladies got very good results while the men only get one medal.
Only nine countries for 60 medals
Of the 60 possible medals in short and long track speed skating, only nine countries step on the podium, the Koreans being the best in the ranking and the Canadians the best for the number of medals
